JASPER CONRAN WOMENSWEAR

20 February 2011

Autumn/Winter 2011 Collection

Individuality forms the backdrop: a mane of hair worn long and loose or cropped and gamine, nipped in to the neck; a graceful stroll or an easy gait; feminine or androgynous. Beauty with a personality.

Black and white. The boot formed in suede, relaxed at the ankle, yet fitted beyond, takes the eye to a tailored wool jersey one piece. Graphic patterns inspired by reptilian traits are moulded, stitched and carved in suede, patent, silk tulle and matt leather. Precision pumps squared off at the toe accessorise with grace.

Saturated chocolate-toned reds and purples punctuated with single shots of graphite and the deepest navy. Leather is blunt cut, fringed and tiled, long haired Toscana carries a ragged grace whilst short haired skins are luminescent with an intense gloss.

Glittering in a silvery sheen she hits out. A flurry of feathers gives way to a mood of singular restraint. Her final entrance, a simple column of black jersey designed to perfectly frame her face.
