Autumn Winter 10 Collection

A season focused on shape, volume, cut and colour. Defined silhouettes, starkly clean, folded, moulded or layered with texture. Inspired by the sculptors, Henry Moore, Louise Nevelson and Barbara Hepworth.

Nevelson’s geometric layers in black – cubist and linear, stamped and appliquéd, dry and liquid. An instinctive approach to texture and construction with a strict silhouette that defines the contours of the female form. A magpie’s eye always drawn to highly polished, moulded torques and molten silver sleeves cut and curved to reflect the light.

Carmine red fibres knitted, cut and constructed to create an almost supernatural presence; limbs encased in stitched and moulded neoprene. Moore’s inspiration is evident in cool grey marl coats moulded into spheres, the skin of the arm glimpsed through precision slashes.

Softened Hepworth shapes with a fluid sensibility blaze a trail throughout, in viridian green, geranium, pigment blue and vermillion. They appear in contrast to foiled architectural tiles on a precise tulle T shape and liquid leather sequins clambering around the body on a cardinal red zibeline shift.

Linear shapes provide an architectural peep show of thigh, bum and the arch of the back. They melt and mould in contrast patent leather to define the neckline in an anti-season flurry of colour.
