Jasper’s wonderful debut book ‘Country,’ a photographic and written portrait of a year in the English countryside, has been re-issued in a smaller size.

With its emotive photography the book takes you on a seasonal journey through the traditions of the English countryside, from a game of dominoes at the King’s Head in Laxfield to apple pressing in Somerset.

Jasper uses his own experiences as a basis for the book. At the time of publication, he said: “Our world is being transformed, not just by globalization, but by urbanization, too. For the first time in history, more people live in towns and cities than in the countryside. Across the globe, we are forgetting our rural roots, but I believe that country life, its values and people have never had more to offer."
