The Jasper Conran at Wedgwood collection was launched in 2001 with the Plain White and Strata ranges. Ten years on and the partnership between Jasper Conran and Wedgwood continues to flourish. In February of this year Jasper launched four new ranges: Baroque, Mosaic, Diamond Embossed and Kilim.

With his exacting mix of heritage and modernity, Jasper has designed collections that work singularly or layered with existing patterns. He has envisaged White as an informal every-day pattern suitable for relaxed dining but also layers it back with Platinum Stripe and Line or the elegant new Baroque for a grand occasion – perhaps a wedding party or very special birthday. Kilim invokes a very modern and informal approach to afternoon tea whilst Mosaic takes you effortlessly through from lunch to a formal dinner, depending on the mix and match styling.

Having worked with Wedgwood for the last ten years, we have been given wonderful insights in to the history of the Company. The Wedgwood story is certainly a fascinating one – a true celebration of our British heritage. Founded in Stoke on Trent in 1759 by Josiah Wedgwood the company has now been in existence for over 250 years and continues to be known for its luxury ceramics across the world.

The story of Josiah Wedgwood, the man, his family and the company he created can be experienced by the public at the Wedgwood Museum. It was in 1774, in a letter penned by Josiah Wedgwood to his business partner Thomas Bentley, when we first witness Josiah’s intention to start collecting a specimen of each piece that is produced. These pieces form the foundation for what is now the Wedgwood Museum. We would say it is well worth a visit.
