A festival for bookworms

Thursday, May 27th, 2010

Literary fans will descend upon the Welsh village of Hay-on-Wye today for the opening of the annual Hay Festival.

Set on the edge of the Brecon Beacons National Park, this tented gathering of writers, comedians and musicians attracts over 100,000 visitors every year.

Jasper has been invited to talk about his first book ‘Country’ on Sunday 6 June. He will take to the Guardian stage at 5.30pm to chat with House & Garden editor Sue Crewe.
