Jasper was inundated with questions on Wednesday when he took over the @DebenhamsRetail twitter feed for an hour in support of West End Homes Week. He talked about everything from his favourite tipple – a vodka martini (extra dry with a silver skin) to his most treasured possession - his Tibetan terriers or ‘ASBO dogs’ (pictured).

The design and homeware bloggers wanted to talk trends and inspiration. Jasper said he’s seeing a lot of colour and texture for bedrooms – all layered on neutrals and that he loves 18th century American colonial style, mixed with a bit of Shaker.

Others asked for advice for their own homes, one lady even sent in a photograph explaining her kitchen dilemma. He advised her to display her crockery on a dresser or to make a feature of utensils by hanging them around the kitchen.

He also chatted with bridal tweeters about wedding dresses being simple and flattering, about putting the detail into your accessories and most importantly about brides being recognizable as themselves on their big day.
