Tea in the Orangery...

Last Wednesday, Jasper invited friends of the Wessex Historic Houses Association for a tour of the gardens at Ven House.

Afterwards, tea was served in the orangery – a selection of sandwiches and the piece de resistance – a rosewater Victoria sandwich served with fresh cream and raspberries.

The table was set amidst the phenomenal scent of lemon trees, orange blossom and jasmine beds.
